Applying for Scholarships
The UT Austin Continuing & Transfer Scholarship Application is available in November of each year and is used to award students for the following academic year. This online application is strictly for continuing or transfer students who have completed or transferred 30 hours or more of college-level coursework.

The deadline to submit the UT Austin Continuing & Transfer Scholarship Application (online or paper) is April 1, 5:00 p.m. (CST).
Exceptions:
Students nominated for Unrestricted Endowed Presidential Scholarships:
  February 27, Midnight (CST)

Students applying for Texas Exes Scholarships:
  March 1, Midnight (CST)

Scholarship Consideration
By applying through the Continuing &Transfer Scholarship Application, you are automatically considered for the majority of scholarships administered by:
  • The Office of Student Financial Services at The University of Texas at Austin. Some of the many scholarships that this office administers are listed under OSFS Scholarships.
  • The Texas Exes. To be considered for Texas Exes Scholarships, you must select "Texas Exes Scholarships" under "Scholarship Choices" in the scholarship application. You must also submit the application by the March 1 Texas Exes deadline.
  • A limited number of colleges, departments, and other entities at, or associated with, The University of Texas at Austin. Contact your intended academic department to learn about its particular scholarship application procedures.

This online scholarship application resides in a secure environment that requires you to have a UT EID (University of Texas Electronic Identity) and password. A UT EID enables you to access secure services throughout campus that require you to identify yourself. Almost anyone who has significant dealings with the University is automatically assigned a UT EID. This includes current students, prospective students, employees, job applicants, business entities, donors, etc. As a continuing/former student or as a transfer/prospective transfer student, you may already have one!
