National Achievement Scholars
Scholarship Package for Texas Residents
$25,000 Total Four-Year Package:
$7,000 for Freshman year*; $6,000/year for three years
The annual award offer includes the $750 stipend if named a college-sponsored scholar or includes the National Merit Scholarship Corporation annual stipend if named a national (one-time) or corporate-sponsored winner.
*Additional $1,000 awarded initially for being named a Semi-Finalist.

Scholarship Package for Non-Residents
Waiver of Non-Resident portion of Tuition & Fees (estimated $18,000/year value)
PLUS a $1,000 Annual Scholarship for Four Years.
The annual $1,000 scholarship offer includes the $750 stipend if named a college-sponsored scholar. The annual $1,000 scholarship is in addition to any national, one-time or corporate-sponsored award.

Other UT Austin Scholarships
All other UT Austin Scholarships, with the exception of the Terry Foundation Scholarship and the National Hispanic and National Merit Scholarships, may be added to the National Achievement scholarship package. Be sure to complete the ApplyTexas Freshman Scholarship Application, and in future years the UT Austin Continuing & Transfer Scholarship Application, to compete for these other awards.

Eligibility
  1. Must be admitted to The University of Texas at Austin. Completed admission application must be received at UT Austin by the February 1 deadline.
  2. All accompanying fees/documents (including SAT or ACT scores and high school transcripts) must meet the February 1 deadline
  3. Admission to The University of Texas at Austin must be upon graduation from high school, as a first-time, entering Freshman.
Terms
  • Full-time enrollment (at least 12 hours) each semester
  • Maintain a cumulative 3.0 Grade Point Average (monitored at the end of each academic year)
  • Act in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NMSC
