Jean Perkins Foundation Combat Veteran Scholarship
The Jean Perkins Foundation has approved a grant in support of undergraduate students at The University of Texas who are active duty or honorably discharged combat veterans. Scholarships of up to $5,000 per year will be awarded for up to 50 undergraduate veterans who have served in a Department of Defense designated combat zone.
Eligibility
  • Must be enrolled in 12 or more hours in an undergraduate degree program.
  • Must have served in a DoD designated combat zone in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Must be making satisfactory academic progress towards a degree.
  • Preference may be given to veterans with greatest need.
How To Apply
  1. Applicants must complete and return the Documentation for Jean Perkins Foundation Combat Veteran Scholarship (PDF) form.
  2. Applicants must submit a legible copy of their DD Form 214 (Report of Separation).
  3. Documentation form with DD214 must be received in the Office of Student Financial Services no later than February 1, 2012.
