Jean Perkins Foundation Combat Veteran Scholarship
The Jean Perkins Foundation has approved a grant in support of undergraduate students at
The University of Texas who are active duty or honorably discharged combat veterans.
Scholarships of up to $5,000 per year will be awarded for up to 50 undergraduate veterans
who have served in a Department of Defense designated combat zone.
Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in 12 or more hours in an undergraduate degree program.
- Must have served in a DoD designated combat zone in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
- Must be making satisfactory academic progress towards a degree.
- Preference may be given to veterans with greatest need.
How To Apply
- Applicants must complete and return the Documentation for Jean Perkins Foundation Combat Veteran Scholarship (PDF) form.
- Applicants must submit a legible copy of their DD Form 214 (Report of Separation).
- Documentation form with DD214 must be received in the Office
of Student Financial Services no later than February 1, 2012.
