Major Specific
Offers need-based scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500 for minority and
disadvantaged architecture students, and fellowships for undergraduate and graduate study.
Offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students with a commitment

Offers up to six $1,500 scholarships to outstanding Junior, Senior and Graduate
students enrolled in educator preparation programs at predominantly ethnic-minority
institutions.
Offers fellowships to women and members of minority groups currently underrepresented
in the sciences who will be pursuing full-time doctorial studies in specific science,
math, engineering and technology fields.
Offers a $1,000 scholarship to Catholic students from Catholic dioceses in the state of
Texas who will be attending a university as a sophomore or above in 2008 and majoring in
a concentration of classes that will lead to a career in health care - such as nursing,
occupational or physical therapy, social work, hospital administration and others.
Offers two $1000 scholarships to business students pursuing careers in construction

Offers a $300, $500 and $1,200 scholarship to undergraduate and graduate Juniors, Seniors,
or graduate students in Special Education. These students must also plan a career in
teaching special education or working within the public school system. Applicants must
have established legal residence within the Great Southwest District (Colorado, New
Mexico, or El Paso County, Texas).
Offers scholarships to students pursuing undergraduate or post-graduate degrees in
advertising, communications, journalism, radio/TV, commercial art, marketing, public
relations or related fields. Preference is given to Houston-area residents attending
accredited four-year colleges or universities in any location or to students attending
Houston-area technical/professional institutes as defined by the Houston ADI.
Offers a $1,000 scholarship to to a junior, senior or graduate student interested in pursuing
a career in internal auditing or a closely related field. For additional eligibility requirements

Offers technical scholarships, designed to encourage study in computer science and
related technical disciplines, to current undergraduate female students, underrepresented
minority students or students with disabilities who are currently enrolled in a four-year
undergraduate degree program.

Offers twenty $1,500 scholarships to undergraduate students in the areas of
education, communications, production, research or any other area involved with
the beef industry. Also, offers two $12,000 graduate scholarships to students pursuing
degrees in animal science, environmental science (water) or agriculture.
Offers an average of 40 scholarships per year in the amount of $1,000 to accounting
students entering their third or fourth year of studies, and $500 to students entering
their second year of studies.
Offers scholarships to students with a commitment to the field of Journalism.

Offers scholarships for tuition and reasonable educational and living expenses up to
$20,000 per academic year to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are committed
to careers in biomedical, behavioral and social science health-related research.
Offers scholarships of up $3,750 a year ($15,000 maximum) to students who agree
to earn their bachelor's degrees, complete approved Police Corps training, and
then serve for four years on patrol, as assigned, with law enforcement agencies
in areas of great need.
Offers two scholarships to students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in
an Earth/Environmental Sciences program at an accredited four-year college or

Offers scholarships of up to $3,500 a year to undergraduate and graduate students
in communications-related fields attending a Texas college or university. Applicants
must at least be sophomores at the time of application. Applications can be found

Offers scholarships and fellowships to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students
with demonstrated ability and special aptitude in Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) fields. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and United States
citizens enrolled at a U.S. college or university.
Offers eight $2,000 scholarships to students majoring in broadcasting fields.
Offers scholarships to undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate students in the
accredited departments or schools of architecture in Texas.
Offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will enroll in ABET
(Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited engineering
programs at specified Texas colleges or universities.
Offers scholarships to disadvantaged students enrolled in civil engineering programs
at public universities in Texas. Students must be enrolled full-time pursuing a B.S.
in civil engineering or construction engineering and be classified a Junior in the Fall
